Research Review on Parking Space Detection Method

The parking assist system is an essential application of the car’s active collision avoidance in low-speed and complex urban environments, which has been a hot research topic recent years. Parking space detection important step assistance system, its object spaces with symmetrical structures lots. By analyzing investigating information measured by sensors, reliable sufficient can be realized. First, this article discusses main problems process detecting spaces, illustrating significance current status methods. In addition, it further introduces some methods, including free-space-based parking-space-marking-based user-interface-based infrastructure-based are all under methods selection. Lastly, summarizes gives clear direction for future research.
